Cheeseburners FHC Historic 'Happenings'.
Often times, historic events that define a club become lost. Milwaukee Cheeseburners Field Hockey wanted to be sure that we captured those most important of moments in our clubs' history. Here's what we have thus far:

First Event
Sunday, March 27, 2022 - University School of Milwkee, WI The Milwaukee Cheeseburners opened it's doors, welcoming U10 and U14 players from Southeast Wisconsin to it's indoor field hockey program. First Certified [Player] Coach Wednesday, March 2, 2022 - Fox Point, WI Blythe Aspinall would be the first Milwaukee Cheeseburners player to complete the NFHS Coaching Field Hockey Certification. In addition, on April 1 of that year, she would go on to complete the 'Coaching Goalkeepers' module and be appointed U10 Supers 10s Assistant Coach. First Game(s) Saturday, April 9, 2022 - Hart Park, Wauwatosa, WI The Milwaukee Cheeseburners traveled to Hart Park to face Lift Field Hockey in the first-ever Crosstown Challenge. No fewer than 26 players represented the 'Burners that day. First Goal(s) Saturday, April 9, 2022 - Hart Park, Wauwatosa, WI The first club goals would be scored against Lift Field Hockey in the Crosstown Challenge. U14s goal was scored by Gabi Ortiz-Fleet, U10s goal by Henryk Thomma. Incidentally, they also became the first girl and boy respectively to score for the club! First Indoor Winners Saturday, May 7, 2022 - University School of Milwaukee, WI U10s - Team Oranje managed a League and Championship double. Oranje Supers 10s included Drew Clausen, Scarlett May-Ehlne, Memphis Raube, Henryk Thomma, and Grace Wells. U14s - Prizes were divided as Team Oranje (Arden Bloom, Emily Hobbs, Catherine Hoehn, Rosie Marotta, Kaitlyn Paullin, Mary Jane Redden, and Ellis Leverett) claimed the league and Team Wit (Blythe Aspinall, Londyn Farrow, Claire Hoehn, Tori Jensen, Gabi Ortiz Fleet, Finley Vanderlinden, Henryk Thomma) would win the Championship! |
First Competitive Win
Sunday, May 8, 2022 - University School of Milwaukee, WI Cheeseburners U10s managed a 2-0 victory over Lift Field Hockey in the second leg of the Crosstown Challenge. This indoor team consisted of Blythe Aspinall, Ellis Leverett, Rowan Sadoff, Misheeka Singh, Quinn Stenson, and Akira Yoshida. College Connection Saturday, May 21, 2022 - University School of Milwaukee, WI Cheeseburners Coach, Lana Stone, officially signed for Kenyon College who she'd join in the Fall of '22. Way to go! First MASTERClass Session Saturday, June 4, 2022 - University School of Milwaukee, WI Greta Hinke (Northwestern University) conducted the first of seven MASTERClass sessions for our U19 and U14 players, teaching participants 3D and Aerial Skills. First Camp Monday, July 18 - Friday, July 22, 2022 - University School of Milwaukee, WI Cheeseburners welcomed no fewer than 38 athletes to their first-ever camp here in the Badger State. Coaches from the UK joined local high school and college coaches/players for this amazing event. The bar has been set high and long may it continue. |

Cheeseburners announced their first-ever club captains with Natalie Paul (Captain), Tori Jensen (Vice Captain), and Blythe Aspinall (Vice Captain) being selected to lead the U14s into their first Fall season.

Wednesday, September 7, 2022 - University School of Milwaukee, WI
Cheeseburners vs. University Lake School. A superb performance saw our 'Burners claim a 5-0 victory over the Lakers. Paul 3+1 (First Hattrick), T Jensen 2+2, Aspinall 1 Save (Shut out)
First Tournament Win
Sunday, October 9, 2022 - Hart Park, Wauwatosa, WI
Cheeseburners @ Narwhal Games. U14 'Burners returned champions with 2-0-1 record. They scored 9 goals and only allowed 4. Paul 6+2, Hartjes 1+2, T. Jensen 1+2, R. Marotta 1+1, A. Jensen 10 Saves (+1 SO)

Monday, November 7, 2022 - Bayside Middle School, Bayside, WI
Cheeseburners would relocate their indoor program to Bayside Middle School and welcome their first U16 representatives.
First Qualified [Player] Official
Monday, February 27, 2023 - Bayside, WI
U16 Switchback, Kaitlyn Paullin, became the first Milwaukee Cheeseburners player to complete the NFHS Officiating Field Hockey course.

Saturday, April 1, 2023 - Uihlein Soccer Park, Milwaukee, WI
Cheeseburners would relocate their outdoor programs to Uihlein Soccer Park.
First Out-of-State Tournament
Saturday, April 22, 2023 - St. Louis, MO
U14s traveled to St. Louis, MO, to compete in the AIM 7s tournament.
