Cheeseburners welcomes all athletes under the age of 8 (as of January 1, 2022). If the athlete is 8 or over on January 1, they must register as a U10 player.

Cheeseburners Field Hockey *NOW* provides both indoor and outdoor developmental opportunities for Under-8s players. These 'Sportsters' train consistently and competitively in a fun and encouraging environment.
As with the U10 program, a strong emphasis is placed on building key fundamental skills including (but not limited to) ball and stick control, passing, receiving, tackling, and developing an understanding of both indoor and outdoor rules. Each session is specifically designed for progression into game play which allows athletes greater opportunity to further understand delivery and application of skills. Indoor and outdoor league play provides the opportunity to further develop through competition. Starting in Summer of 2023, programs shall be offered year-round. Additional playing opportunities include scrimmages/play days/games both locally and regionally. |
